Paul and Joyce Oetken

Paul
and Joyce are missionaries with Continental Baptist Missions.
Continental Baptist Missions provides support services for the planting
and developing of biblically sound and spiritually healthy Baptist
churches in North America. The Oetkens work in the church building
aspect of ministry.
The Oetkens worked for several years in
various locations across the USA building churches. Currently Paul is
working from the CBM headquarters in Michigan drawing up blueprints and
designs for new church buildings. Other projects include redesigning
church auditoriums, revising electrical prints, and designing roofing
systems. One church building was a former Jewish synagogue in Bronx, NY
that had been vacant for 30 years. Only the outside walls could be
kept. There were many revisions to satisfy code issues and many months
of work for the blueprints to be approved.
Paul and Joyce have
three children. Isaiah, Leanna, and Arianna. Isaiah and his wife,
Charity, live in Florida. Leanna continues her college education at
Maranatha. Arianna went home to be with the Lord in 2006 after being
born with multiple health issues.
